This model is the Jordan & Lewden (River Series) Covered Lorry in blue and cream. This is a Code 3 item made to look like the Gamda Tnuva Dairy Products issue.
This simplistic casting is of a forward control lorry with detail cast into the body including the grille, the doors and handles, the body lines, front bumper and headlights. This is the first body casting with 10 lines cast into the lower grille area. The casting is in two parts, the main body and cab casting and the rear tray casting. A tinplate rear canopy slides into the rear tray to complete the model body.
There is no interior or glazing.
There is no base plate. The under side of the cab roof of this Code 3 model is marked "Made in England" on two lines under the cab roof as on castings used in the original UK manufacturing. It is devoid of all other marking or casting detail apart from the pillars that hold the axles in place. At the rear three cast metal rivets hold the rear body tray in place.
All wheels correctly comprise a single piece, solid metal hub and tyre shape similar to the Corgi style of smooth hub as used on the original Israeli made item. They have been pressure fitted to the steel axles. The cast pillars are pinch crimped to hold the axles in place.
The original casting used here was issued in the 1950s, possibly circa 1953. The Sabra-Gamda-Koor issues were mainly made between 1969 and 1972. This Code 3 was made circa 2018 and comes with a reproduction box.
