This model is the Creaks AC157 Crossley Desert Ambulance (1918) in desert brown, military livery. It comes packed in its original maroon window box. This item is based on the Yesteryear Y26 Crossley and comes without a Limited Edition Certificate of Authenticity identifying the model as one of 1000 produced. The model is marked with the number 67 on the base, just in front of the left rear wheel.
The model has no opening parts. The vehicle body is a light desert brown and the roof has been painted a raker brown. The chassis and mudguards are in the body colour, the seats are ruby red plastic, and the steering wheel is black. There is no glazing.
At the front the light lenses have been picked out in silver and a red "23" is on the front driver's side mudguard. The sides have a decal with the word "ISMALIA" and a red cross symbol on the rear canopy sides and top. The rear displays the red "23" on the right and the red cross symbol in the centre.
The base plate is desert brown painted metal and carries the "Matchbox" logo and model details — "Matchbox, Toys Ltd Crossley" to the centre top, "Models of Yesteryear No Y13/Y26 197" in the middle bottom, and "Made in England" on the left running board. It is held in place by two machined rivets.
All wheels are one piece, solid plastic units painted desert brown, each with a black tyre.
Other Comments/Identifying Features: The model has no Certificate of Authenticity but is identified as no 67 of 1000 on the base.
