This model is the Corgi C656-18 Ford Transit in red Falck livery produced for the Danish market. This model was released with "Falck" signage on the front. Both sides of the van are marked SERVICE VOGN in yellow letters. Both front doors are marked "Falcks Redningskorps" followed by the company logo (a falcon in a square) then by "1-06/8678" (not certain if this is a phone number or a fleet vehicle number*). The rear doors are also marked with "Falck" and the numbers.
This model has no opening parts other than the two rear doors. The front headlights are clear lenses set into the body casting. The grille and front number plate [GMS 625] are actually part of the base plate (black plastic) as is the front bumper (highlighted with red and white "hazard" lines. The rear also has cast impressions to represent the rear lights and number plate but these have not been highlighted with an alternative colour.
The entire interior is black plastic with the rudimentary right hand steering wheel being part of the interior casting. The glazing is clear with molded wipers and rear view mirror on the front windscreen.
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a chrome 7 dot center "hub".
The base plate is black plastic and is marked with "CORGI" in the centre top, "Ford Transit" on the second line, and "Made in GT Britain" at the centre bottom. It is held in place with four rivets.
This model was issued in June 1988. Its scale was stated to be 1/43.
* I have been contacted by Lars Nielsen of Denmark who advises "I have worked at the Falck station where that car actually drove. 1/06 is the station number for Gladsaxe Falck station (fire station) 8678 is the vehicle call number. This Ford Transit has driven to the fire station 1/06 in Gladsaxe municipality with call number 8678".
