This model is the Corgi 353-A-1 Decca 424 Radar Scanner in RAF Blue and Orange.
There are no opening parts. The exterior is painted RAF Blue with the scanner dish painted in orange, with a silver face. All other features are cast into the body and scanner castings. The model is able to be operated by turning the grooved wheel on the rear and this rotates the scanner.
There is no interior, glazing, or wheels as this item is an airfield radar scanner, and as such would have been a fixed structure.
There is a base of sorts inset on the bottom to hold the turning mechanism in place. It is marked to the top right with "CORGI, TOYS" on two lines, "Made in, GT Britain" on two lines below this, and along the bottom "Airfield Radar" on a single line. It is held in place with two machined rivets.
This model was issued between September 1959 and 1960 and 57,000 were sold. No scale was stated for this item which used the radar scanner from the #1106 Decca Radar Van.
