This model is the Corgi 282-A-1 BMC Mini Cooper S in white rally livery,

The two front doors, bonnet and boot all open on this model. All other detail is cast into the white body casting. At the front the vehicle has a chromed grille and bumper, and black number plate without lettering. Either side of the bonnet are two yellow jewel lensed headlights. The black bonnet opens to reveal a silver motor. The two black painted, opening, side doors have paper labels reading "177" in black lettering on a white background. The roof is white and carries an orange and black racing stripe. The rear boot lid is black and opens to reveal the empty boot interior. The red tail lights are painted raised castings, the number plate is blank and the rear bumper is also chromed.

The interior is all red, complete with folding front seat backs, and there is a gold steering wheel set into the "dashboard". All glazing is clear.

All wheels are one piece, "whizz wheel" units, one piece cast plastic hub and tyre style with 8 spoke chromed centres.

The base plate is black painted metal that carries the legend "Corgi Toys" to the centre top, followed by "Made In Gt. Britain", "WHIZZWHEELS" along the middle centre line, "BMC Mini Cooper S" below this and "Pat. App. 3396/69" at the centre bottom. At the very rear of the base is the word "MAZAK", cast at right angles to the rest of the text. The base carries a rudimentary representation of the engine and exhaust. It is held in place by one machined rivet at the front and one body locating lug to the rear.

This model was issued between February 1971 and 1974.
