Corgi 1132-A-1 Bedford TK Carrimore Trailer

This model is the Corgi 1132-A-1 Bedford TK Carrimore Low Loader in Red and Yellow. This entry relates to the trailer only.

This model features a red Carrimore low loader trailer with a yellow and silver spare tyre bollard mounted to the front on the raised trailer bed (tyres missing), and yellow folding loading ramps. It is a single axle articulated trailer, normally attached to a Bedford TK tractor unit.

The only operating parts are the rear folding ramp sections.

All wheels are of the spun, shaped type, with separate black tyres, on steel axles.

The base plate is actually the underside of the flatbed casting and is marked with Corgi Major Toys at the top middle centre, below this is "Carrimore Low Loader". Towards the front, centred on the base is "Patents Pending", followed by "Made in GT Britain".

This model was issued between May 1963 and 1965 and its scale was stated to be 1:50.

This model is the Corgi 1132-A-1 Bedford TK Carrimore Low Loader in Yellow and Red.

This model features a yellow Bedford TK tractor unit with headlights, grille, and front bumper picked out in silver. The glazing is clear and the interior is a red vac-form comprising seats, floor, and the dashboard into which is fitted a black plastic steering wheel. A separate black plastic component passes through the cab to form the side mirrors. The red Carrimore low loader trailer has a yellow and silver spare tyre bollard mounted to the front on the raised trailer bed (both spare tyres are present). The folding loading ramps are in the tractor unit's body colour (yellow). It is a single axle articulated trailer and attaches to the tractor unit by means of a polished metal pin.

The only operating parts are the rear folding ramp sections.

The tractor base plate is grey painted metal and is marked, parallel to the axles, "Corgi, Toys" on two lines to the front behind the grille, "Made in Gt Britain" on the axle cover, and then, at right angles to the axles, "Bedford, Tractor Unit" on two lines to the centre top, and "Pat. Applications, 21101/59" to the the centre bottom. It also carries rudimentary representations of the engine sump, gearbox, drive shaft, rear differential, exhaust system, and chassis rails.
